The Shivappa Naik Palace is a popular attraction of Shimoga town. Situated on the banks of River Tunga, the palace was built of rosewood by Shivappa Naik of Keladi in the 16th century. There is also a museum inside the palace which exhibits stone carvings and relics from the period of the Keladis.
