The Shivappa Naik Palace is a popular attraction of Shimoga town. Situated on the banks of River Tunga, the palace was built of rosewood by Shivappa Naik of Keladi in the 16th century. There is also a museum inside the palace which exhibits stone carvings and relics from the period of the Keladis.

Other important attraction of Shimoga district, Shivappa Naik Palace is located on the banks of River Tunga and is made up of rosewood in the 16th century by Shivappa Naik of Keladi.
