Sahaspur Wildlife Sanctuary, Kawardha, Chhattisgarh India

Sahaspur Wildlife Sanctuary, 21 kms from Kawardha, is home to a wide variety of animal species including leopards, sloth bears, cheetal, jackals, jungle cats, etc. There is a tank in the forest and home to a variety of avifauna including teals, herons, egrets, lapwings, kingfishers, ducks, stilts, doves, wagtails, oriels, sunbirds, woodpeckers, raptors and night birds etc. Night drives through the park can be arranged, after receiving permission from the Forest Department.
