Parasuram Kund, Teju, Arunachal Pradesh India

The Parasuram Kund is the religious site of Tezu that has given the place a lot of religious importance. It is located on the banks of the Brahmaputra River and is nested amidst the huge range of mountains. A temple of Lord Parasuram is located near the Kund and every year a fair is held here.

Hundreds of pilgrims come every year on the festival of Makara Sankranti in January to take a dip in the holy water. It is believed that that the sacred water of the pond washes away all sins and is considered as pious as the water of River Ganga.

Special accommodation camps and facilities are organized at this time for the convenience of the visitors. Tezu is flocked by pilgrims and visitors at this time of the year.
