Ludhiana Krishna Mandir, Ludhiana, Punjab India

Shri Krishna Mandir is very famous & biggest temple of Ludhiana. It is situated in Model Town Extension, Ludhiana. Shri Krishna Mandir is one of the newest beautifully furnished temples constructed on 500 Sq. yards. More than 520 statues have been established in this temple. But the main attraction is the 37 feet high statue of Lord Hanuman. Janam Ashtami, Dushera, & Shivratri are three festivals celebrated with great fervor, enthusiasm & glory at Krishna Mandir. A large number of devotees, use to recite bhajans and shlokas & Devotees kept pouring on this temples during the whole day. Three festivals such as Janam Ashtami, Dushera, & Shivratri are celebrated in this temple with great enthusiasm . During these days large number of devotees from different places gathered in this temple and recite bhajans and shlokas. The temple also provides a charitable hospital for poor by giving free medicines & operation facilities.

Janamashtmi festival was celebrated in an open ground outside the temple premises because of the huge crowd .The grounds are decorated with tents, flowers, lights etc. The charnamat was being distributed to the people on the main entrance gate. People brought Chhapan Bhoga to offer to their Lordship and later distributed to the people. There were also conducted cultural performances like dance , play etc .The festival concluded with offering prasadam.
