Jyotisar Birthplace of Bhagavad Gita, Kurukshetra, Haryana India

Situvated about 12 km from Kurukshetra, one of the most revered of holy centers Jyotisar retains its sanctity, the birthplace of the Holy Bhagwad Gita.There is a 5,000 year old banyan tree,offshoot of the holy Banyan tree under which Lord Krishna delivered the sermon of Bhagavad Gita, the doctrine of Karma and Dharma to his wavering friend Arjuna. A marble chariot is installed in the site which depicts the message of Lord Krishna which marks the spot where Lord Krishna stood and showed his universal form to Arjuna. An old Shiv temple and Brahma Sarovar is also here.
