World's Largest Free-flight Walk-in Aviary was officially opened in 1991. Located within the serene and scenic Kuala Lumpur Lake Gardens, it is only 10 minutes away from the Kuala Lumpur city center.

Easily outdoing neighbouring Singapore’s Jurong Bird Park, the Kuala Lumpur Bird Park is twice the size of Jurong and most of its birds are free and accustomed to being around people. The free-flight, walk-in aviary has over 60 species of local and foreign birds, including the Indian blue peacock, with its colourful five-foot train, and the crowned pigeon, the largest pigeon species in the world.

You can see bird shows and even feeding sessions for eagles, hornbills and ostriches at the Kuala Lumpur Bird Park. Kids are well catered for with a playground and the beautifully landscaped gardens have jogging tracks, exercise stations, and rowing boats for visitors. Also available are binoculars for hire, a reference centre for those who would like to find out more about the park’s birdlife and a refreshment kiosk where you can buy snacks and drinks.
