Hill Station Place in Deoghar

Nandan Pahar is also known as Nandan Hill Park. This is a small hill edging the town which hosts a famous Nandi Temple. It has been beautifully maintained by the local administration and speaks volume about the beauty of this place. This hill faces the famous Shiv temple on its one side and on the other side; it has a beautiful lake luring the visitors.
Nandan PaharNandan Pahar is a major pilgrimage site in Deoghar District. Nandan Pahar is abour three kilometers away from Baba Baidyanath Station in Deoghar. It is situated in the western side of the Deoghar town.
In Nandan Pahar, there are few temples dedicated to the Hindu Gods and goddesses. Inside those temples there are the idols of Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati, Lord Ganesha and God Kartik. There is a water tank from where filtered water is supplied to each corner of Deoghar City through pipes. The dawn and the dusk from here is a charming scene.
According to the Hindu mythology, King Ravana tried to enter in Shivadham forcibly. Nandi was the door keeper at that time. He obstructed King Ravana. During that time King Ravana became angry and threw him who fell here and in this way this hill became to known by this name. Near Nandan Pahar, there is a park named Nandan Hill Entertainment Park has been constructed by the government of Deoghar District. It has got its importance in the religious history of Babadham.
Located on the western side of Deoghar the beautiful Nandan Hills is a famous tourist spot. There is a Shiv temple and a Nandi temple on the hills. A large statue of Nandi, the vehicle of Lord Shiva is situated there. A park for children is also there.
It has a boot house, a ghost house and a mirror house and many rides for the children. Boating facilities and Russian swing is also available. One can enjoy a panoramic view of the town from the Nandan hills.
