Juma Masjid, a yellow sandstone mosque is a very fascinating structure containing 260 pillars with fine carvings supported by 15 domes at various levels. Built by Ahmad Shah in 1423, Juma Masjid is a perfect blend of Hindu and Muslim architecture situated in the heart of the old city of Ahmedabad. There are tombs of Ahmed Shah and two other Sultans’ of Ahmedabad inside the mosque.
