Bhagwati Mandir, Bhatinda, Punjab India

The Bhagwati Mandir is located at Maisar Khana. The temple is known for fulfilling wishes of devotees. Twice a year a religious fair is held here and a large number of devotees attend the fairs.

Its history dates back to the 17th century A.D. when Kamala Bhagt, a resident of this place set off for Jawala Mukhi temple in Kangra, another important Hindu shrine. He was accompanied by a saint named Kali Nath. Before they could reach their destination, the goddess Jawala Mukhi appeared and blessed them. As per the folklore, the deity blessed them that their village, Maiser Khana, will be treated as her abode and people will go there to worship her.
